The Best of Both Worlds
Love the seaside but want to escape the crowds? Bolingey is the place for you. This beautifully peaceful hamlet is surrounded by Cornish countryside, wildflowers and country walks. And yet it takes less than five minutes to drive, or only 20 minutes to walk, to Perranporth’s rugged coastline where you can enjoy all the fun of the seaside before retreating to your tranquil holiday sanctuary again.
Activities
In the local area a championship golf course, horse riding, paragliding, and many other activities are easily accessible from Bolingey, and there are lovely unspoilt countryside walks to be discovered, which four-legged friends will no doubt enjoy too! Healeys Cyder Farm and Callestrick Ice Cream Farm are just a five-minute drive away.
Bolingey is also perfectly positioned to explore the rest of Cornwall: the cathedral city of Truro, beautiful beaches of Newquay, marine heritage of Falmouth and art of St Ives are all within easy reach by car, as is the Eden Project and many National Trust properties and gardens amongst many other attractions.
The Bolingey Inn
A proper traditional pub, The Bolingey Inn dates from the 17th century, has a snug bar with open fire, real ales and good food. Located in a beautiful setting in the middle of the village, it has parking and a few outdoor tables from which to enjoy the sunshine on a warm day, with a cold beer.
A very popular local venue, The Bolingey Inn hosts regular folk music nights, live music, and two annual beer festivals in April and October. Well worth a visit!
