An elegant contemporary property in the heart of Perranporth, 3 Waves is a bright and spacious four storey family house. Located in a small terrace less than five minutes’ level walk from the beach it enjoys beautiful sea views, parking for two cars, welcomes one dog and offers an enclosed secure garden. The property benefits from Zonal underfloor heating in all rooms and has triple glazed windows throughout.

The front door opens from the allocated parking spaces, with an electric car charging point available, into a roomy hallway with plenty of space for coats and shoes. A storage room, perfect for bikes and surf boards, can be accessed both from the hall and also directly from the parking area, perfect for bringing in bikes, boards and beach equipment. A travel cot and highchair are also stored here.

A ground floor bedroom is furnished with twin beds (3’ each) that can be linked together to make a super king bed, and bedroom storage. Patio doors open to the garden, and a large en-suite wet room is ideal for guests with mobility difficulties. The fully tiled en-suite also has a door to the hall (enabling it to be used as a downstairs facility without having to go through the bedroom), and is fitted with a walk-in shower, toilet, large sink and heated towel rail. There is also a utility room on this ground floor, with sink, storage, kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer, and a back door opening to the garden.

On the first floor three further bedrooms sleep six: bedroom two has bunk beds (3’ each) and a chest of drawers with a blind fitted at the window. Bedroom three is furnished with twin beds (3’ each), hanging storage and a chest of drawers. Full length windows overlook the garden.

Bedroom four is the master bedroom, furnished with a king sized bed (5’), a large wardrobe and chest of drawers and benefits from an en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and basin. The fully tiled family bathroom on this floor is fitted with a shower over the bath, large sink unit, toilet and heated towel rail.

Up to the second floor, a beautifully light open plan living space incorporates the kitchen, dining room and sitting room. The view is the main focus here, with full length sliding doors (with safety barrier) framing the gorgeous outlook to Perranporth beach, Chapel Rock and the Atlantic Ocean. In the evening the curtains can be drawn to make the room cosy and private, to relax on the comfortable two-seater and three-seater sofas plus an armchair and watch the large wall-mounted Smart TV.

At the other end of the room is a dining table and eight chairs, and the contemporary sleek kitchen has pale blue tiled splashbacks and white cupboards. A central island, with two bar stools, is fitted with an induction hob and the kitchen has an integrated double oven, integrated microwave, large fridge freezer, dishwasher and wine fridge. Full length and also Velux windows (one electronically operated to vent) let the light stream in to this bright and inviting space.

At the top of the house a light filled fourth floor is furnished with a sofa bed, a large wall-mounted Smart TV, a chest of drawers, chair and bean bags, arranged to look out to the beautiful coastal view. French doors open to the generous balcony, with outdoor table and chairs, an ideal place to sit with an evening drink and watch as the sun sets over the sea at the end of another relaxing day.

The fully enclosed garden is mostly laid with astro turf, with a patio area and outside table with reclining chairs for enjoying al-fresco dining and the sunshine. A gate opens to a shared path that runs along the back of the properties, perfect when coming back from the beach, enabling access into the garden to rinse off at the outside shower.

3 Waves is one of a small terrace, and numbers 1 (Crest View), 2 Waves and 5 Waves can be booked for larger groups holidaying together.

  • Beach Life

Perranporth boasts a beautiful three mile long sandy beach with undulating dunes, a tidal swimming pool built into the striking Chapel Rock, and rock pools that are perfect for paddling. Swim and surf in the big blue, explore caves and enjoy the space to stretch, run and breathe. Take a picnic for lazy hazy days in the dunes or take the dog and relish the three mile expanse of golden sand.

  • Culture and History

St Piran, the patron saint of Cornwall, is said to have washed up on Perranporth’s shores, and the remains of his 6th century oratory can still viewed in the dunes. Perranporth was the site for two tin mines in years gone by and the inspiration for Winston Graham’s Poldark novels which were all written here. High above the beach the millennium sundial tracks Cornish time (approximately 12 minutes later than GMT).

  • Food and Drink

From fine dining to fish and chips on the promenade, Perranporth has a wide array of food and drink, so you can treat yourself to time away from the kitchen. Share delicious tapas, try vegan street food, or enjoy great bar food in sunny gardens. Local takeaways include Indian, Chinese, Thai and pizza, and remember to leave room for an indulgent Cornish ice cream or post dinner local gin!

  • Get Active

The north coast of Cornwall is made for adventure. In addition to the wild playgrounds of the beaches there are also loads of organised activities available too. Book lessons with a surf school, gallop a horse along the beach, and play tennis at beautifully maintained grass and hard courts. There’s also a links golf course in the dunes, hang-gliding, a bowling green, children’s play park and boating lake.

  • Local Attractions

There’s plenty to see and do in the local area, without having to travel too far. Within a short drive of all our properties, visitors can pet farm animals and sample the local cyder at Healeys Cyder Farm, find out how ice cream is made (and of course treat yourself to some!) at Callestick Farm Cornish Ice Cream, and discover the ruins of St Piran’s Oratory in the sand dunes at Perranporth. Dairyland, with horse rides, farm animals, and a huge soft play area, is a great day out for families with young children, as is Lappa Valley Steam Railway with train rides and play park and exploring creatures of the deep at Newquay's Blue Reef Aquarium at Towan Beach.

  • Explore Cornwall

Slightly further afield is The Eden Project with its famous biomes, the National Trust houses of Lanhydrock, Trelissick and Trerice, and the spectacular gardens of Glendurgan, Trebah and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From the rugged and dramatic north coast to the sheltered harbours of south coast fishing villages, everyone is bound to find a corner of Cornwall that captures their heart. Visit St Ives for cobbled streets and art galleries including the Tate St Ives, walk the causeway to St Michael’s Mount island off Marazion, and explore Falmouth’s fascinating maritime history. Padstow is a foodie’s heaven, while Truro boasts a stunning Gothic Revival cathedral and is the county’s shopping hub.

Miss Farmer

We've been visiting Cornwall at Easter for over 15 years and this was one of the best properties we've stayed in. It is modern and well equipped, with great views of the sea and Perranporth beach. It's central to everything in the town - bars, restaurants and shops. Sleeps 10 as described, with three bathrooms. Although top floor guests are two floors from a toilet or shower. We would recommend this property and have booked again for next year. Aspects are helpful and easy to deal with.

House is in a good position in Perranporth . The stairs may be a problem for elderly people or someone who has a problem with walking, as you have to go up 2 flights to get to the kitchen and lounge .

Mrs Awty

Beautiful property, excellent location. Fabulous views of the beach and sunsets. Everything you would need in the property was included. Very clean.
